Illusions – Valentines Day and Friday the 13th

February 13, 2015

Wow..I just realized that the release of Illusions is on Friday, the 13th.  Cue music of doom….  And the day before Valentines Day… Cue music of doom... . I would like to say that I am not a superstitious person, but I can’t. Therefore, I’ll be avoiding black cats, ladders and Hallmark stores today.

Ok, actually, I’m kidding. I’ll be busy blogging today so I’m going to enjoy my Friday the 13th. I’ll get a glass of wine and spend it with you, my new friends. For Valentine’s Day, well that’s a different story. Since I’m single and have celebrated Anti-Valentine’s Day with my friends for several years, I’m sure I’ll continue the tradition on Saturday.

Thinking about Valentine’s Day and Friday the 13th, I wondered what my characters would do to celebrate? I believe Skylar would be having a glass or two of wine with some hot partner that he found for the evening. But rest assured, there would be no candy or flowers. Most likely hard core sex and goodnight.

Aiden, he can be kind of dreamy so I think he would find a date, have a romantic dinner with wine and maybe a kiss or two before saying goodnight.

Ryan would be out at the bar claiming the center of attention because after all, everyone loves Ryan! Or he might be at the Shelter for Kids where he volunteers, sharing hot chocolate and candy with the boys.

How about you? How will you be celebrating Valentine’s Day or Friday the 13th?

Ever since arriving in Hollywood, Skylar Murphy has been loving life. He’s starring in a hit television show and on the verge of grabbing the lead role in the most anticipated movie of the decade. Poised on the edge of superstardom, he doesn’t want or need any complications to distract him from that goal. Whether he’s sleeping with a woman or a man, his noncommittal, no-strings-attached love life suits him perfectly, and despite his rep for playing gay roles, the world still thinks he’s straight.

At the launch party for his new show, Skylar meets Aiden Moore, an openly gay firefighter by day and cater waiter to the stars by night. Skylar is immediately attracted to him, but Aiden rejects him. When an arsonist appears to have targeted Skylar, their paths keep crossing. Always up for a challenge, Skylar works to win Aiden over, and he agrees to a date. Soon enough they can’t stay away from each other. Despite hiding their relationship away from the ever-present paparazzi, they’re happy together until a jilted fan joins forces with the arsonist to sabotage their future.

I don’t like horror films so definitely no scary films for me. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s JJ. :) I normally don’t like horror films but Stalker has that “jump out at you” I like it for some reason. But I also love “The Walking Dead” and “Outlander” so I think my taste is very strange. LOL :D
