Julia Talbot's Interview with Cullen and Matt

Hey, y’all! I’m Julia Talbot, and I couldn’t be more tickled than to be here talking about my newest release, Catching Heir. It’s a Dreamspun Desire, which is a fantastic line to show off gay romance because it’s such a familiar format for readers. I just love it.

I was going to write some stuffy blog post about writing and blah blah blah, and then the guys took over my brain. They wanted to talk about the old hotel they both wanted to inherit, the Treeline Estates, just outside Aspen, Colorado.

Question: Hey, guys! Today’s question. Is the Treeline Estates haunted?

Matt: That’s a great question. I think so, yes. I mean, we’re not the Stanley, but we’ve got some history.

Cullen: Dude. Are you serious?

Matt: Sure. We have the older gentleman in the bowler hat who broke his neck on the ice in 1922.

Cullen: *wide eyed* Are you serious? That is the suckiest way to go. And is he like, a Beetlejuice ghost? Is his neck all bent and and his body all blue and frosty.

Matt: *rolls his eyes* No, honey. He just looks like an older gent wearing a bowler hat

Cullen: *chews his lip* Huh

Matt: What?

Cullen: You think Grandpa Ben is a ghost now and is haunting us?

Matt: No (very firmly) I think Ben was ready to move on by the time he did. I wouldn’t want him to devote his afterlife to the hotel like he did his life.

Cullen: *brightens* oh good

Matt: I did think you were Ben’s ghost once early on. You look a lot like him.

Cullen: I saw pictures. It’s weird since I never met him.

Matt: Trust me. It’s weirder for those of us who knew him

Cullen: *tilts his head* not too weird though, right? We’re together

Matt: *chuckles* not weird that way, no

Cullen: Oh good. Wanna go snowboarding?

Matt: I have work to do honey

Cullen: (grabs Matt’s hand to drag him off) Nope. Now we play

Well, that seems to be that folks. Cullen has focus issues. I hope y’all will check out Catching Heir and give the boys a little love!

Check out Catching Heir today!

Catching Heir by Julia Talbot

Is he in love with an old hotel—or its new owner?

Professional snowboarder Cullen Patrick is successful and kinda famous. So when he inherits an old Colorado hotel from an unknown relative, he really should leave well enough alone.

Matt Nathanson has been managing the Treeline Estates since college. He loved the elderly former owner, and he stands to inherit the place if no one claims it in the next week. Of course, Cullen shows up, and Matt thinks it’s time to move on. He doesn’t want to like Cullen, no matter how engaging the guy is, or how hunky.

Cullen has grand ideas for the Treeline, but he doesn’t want to implement them without Matt, and he’s not sure he’s ready to give up snowboarding. Can Matt convince Cullen that putting down roots is worth it… and maybe catch his heir at the same time?
