No Matter Where You Meet, Love is Love with Remmy Duchene

Hello Dreamers! I know I don’t come by here much and I don’t mean to be antisocial but lately, things seemed to have implode in more work and less sleep and even less time to play! But I am here now to talk to you about meeting people.

In Trust and Control (coming November 14th to Dreamspinner Press) the lovers meet at a Masquerade party being thrown by an LGBT club, then again online. There is something alluring about flirting with a stranger. It makes the blood pump faster as your heart race. But how do you take it from a mutual flirtation to something else. When the masks come off will you both be attracted? Will one want the other but the feelings aren’t being returned?

In older times, our parents met each other through friends, through family, at a local dance or dinner or simply by walking down the street. My parents met when my mom was a teenager, going to the store for her older sister. My father’s dad owned the store and he took one look at her and knew. He walked beside her all the way home, not saying a word and since my mom was super shy, it made things a little weird lol. But, after he did that a few times she finally got up enough courage to speak to him and that totally made his day. Eight years later, they were married, and almost thirty years later, they are still together.

These days, technology has taken over everything including the way we meet people. Before, there was the romance of our eyes met across the room and there was this electricity that took my breath away… Today it’s more of I saw his pic. Liked what I saw so I sent him a flirt. It can be a little bit of a sterile way to meet someone because you don’t have that instant personal connection. But, if you work on it and the both of you are willing and open minded, it can work out.

I know a lot of people who’ve met their significant other online and it’s not a bad way to go, especially if you’re shy and can’t really walk up to that hottie with the fantastic hair and nice lips. There is no shame in it. If you meet someone you’re truly meant to be with who cares where you met them? It could be in a bathroom where you have to knock on the stall to get the person on the other side to spare a piece of toilet paper because you ran out or walking down the street or a forum online where you’re obsessed with some tv show or book etc.

I guess what it all boils down to is this – No matter where you meet love is love.

Wealthy real estate mogul Christophe Lafavre has everything—except any love life to speak of. Though he has a brilliant head for business, when it comes to relationships, he’s often left fumbling in the dark.

There, he meets an elusive hottie who calls himself Raj, and though Christophe cannot see Raj’s face, there’s definitely a connection. Over the phone and online, Christophe and Raj get to know each other. Their conversation is easy and arousing. It’s hard for Christophe to believe the strength of the feelings he’s developing toward a man who is still essentially a stranger, but he can’t get Raj out of his head. They eventually give in to their physical longing—but still Raj refuses to show his face or divulge his identity.

When it comes, the revelation will rock Christophe’s world and redefine more than one relationship in his life.
