Unfortunate Son Release Party

January 12, 2015

UnfortunateSon_small

Hi all! Shae Connor here to celebrate the release of my novel Unfortunate Son (Sons Book 1). This is only my second novel, and I’m super excited to finally have another one out. My first novel, Sand & Water, came out way back in August 2011, so it’s been a while!

I’ll be posting throughout the day today, and I’ll be giving away an ebook copy of Unfortunate Son (available through your Dreamspinner bookshelf). Just comment with an answer to my question from any of my posts here today, and I’ll use a random generator to choose a winner. Feel free to comment as much as you like, but just one comment per post will count as an entry. Comments must be in by 5 p.m. Eastern US time, because that’s when I’ll choose a winner. :)

(I’ll also be taking over Dreamspinner’s Twitter account from 6:30 to 7:30 tonight, so be sure to check in there, too!)

To start things off, let’s talk about 2015. I cannot believe it’s here already. Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? Did you keep any resolutions in 2014? Have you gotten used to writing 2015 for the date yet?

First of all happy release party. I´ve read the blurb on this book and i must say it does sound great.

As for New Years resolutions i didn´t make any (i never do) because when i want something different or want to change things then i try to do it and i don’t care if it’s the new year or july 24 or any other date.

I haven’t really had a need to write the date 2015 yet but i think i probably will write 2014 the first times i have to LOL

    Congrats on this new release:)
I’ve been writing 2015 since the first day (because of my job) and my 2015 resolution is to help harder my mother to feel better again

    My 2015 resolutions? Finding happiness…
Writing 2015 date on my phone? Yes!
    One paper? Nope

Hi guys! Thanks for dropping by. As I was writing this post, I thought about the old “are you still writing 2014 on your checks?” question and wondered who even writes checks that often these days. I know I don’t! LOL

  5. K13 says:

Wow! This book sounds really good and I really like its cover <3
Having a baby is a good 2015 resolution? Oh yeah!!!
I'm a student so writing 2015 on my papers has been necessary since last week.

  6. Debra E says:

Congratulations on the release! I just read a fantastic review of the book yesterday and immediately put it on my TBR.

My resolution is to make a dent in the backlog of books on my Kindle. 12 days in and I’ve only read books I already own but my one-click finger is itching.

  7. Shae Connor says:

K13: A baby! Now that’s a great resolution! Though doing your homework will be good practice for telling your child to do the same thing in a few years. :D

Debra: Yay, hope you enjoy! I have the same TBR issue. It’s hard not to buy all the great new titles as they come out, though! :)

  8. K13 says:

I always tell I’m a student until I finish my PhD in less than a year;)

  9. Not writing checks, but I’m buying a house and signing tons of paperwork, so I keep catching myself (so far, thankfully, before I write the date).

As for resolutions: lose weight (this one’s always there), release four stories in 2015, and start a blog for my website are all on there.

  10. Shae Connor says:

Congrats on the house, Ashavan! And I hear you on the weight loss and writing resolutions. :)

Hi Shae! Congrats on your new book =) I don’t usually make new years resolution s since I know there’s a high possibility I won’t be able to reach them.
